Thinking Differently

Winter / Seasonal Staywell

Winter conditions can be seriously bad for our health, especially for people aged 65 or older, and people with long-term conditions. The cold and damp weather, ice, snow and high winds can all aggravate any existing health problems and make us more vulnerable to illnesses that are more common in winter.

Here are some tips for staying well this winter:

Flu Jabs

Flu jabs are now available in Dudley. Contact your GP to book an appointment to get yours, or ask at your local Pharmacy.

For the first time, this year, all primary aged children in England, from Reception to Year 6, are eligible for the free vaccination, delivered via a quick and painless nasal spray.

Flu vaccinations in schools started in October and will continue through to December and will be given by Nurses from Vaccination UK. Click here more more information on our local Flu Fighter campaign.
