With the NHS turning 70 on Thursday 5 July 2018 we’d like to invite you to our celebratory tea party event.
The NHS has touched us all and we would like you to get involved in its celebrations.
The NHS70 Tea party event is a chance for people across Dudley to come together to celebrate 70 years of the NHS, raise a cuppa and enjoy a bostin slice of cake. It’s also the perfect opportunity to celebrate its achievements, to appreciate the vital role the NHS plays in all of our lives, and to recognise and thank the extraordinary staff – the everyday heroes who are there to guide, support and care for us, day in, day out.
The free tea party event will be held at Brierley Hill Civic Hall, Bank Street, Brierley Hill, DY5 3DH and you can drop in any time from 10.30am – 2.30pm for a cuppa and a cake.
Also as part of initiatives to celebrate the NHS’s 70th birthday this year, Dudley CCG have teamed up with local NHS professionals to host a careers event as part of the day. There will be a number of NHS staff from all organisations, available throughout the day to talk about their role and to encourage students and young people of all ages to consider careers in the NHS and be a part of the next 70 years.
In addition there will be live entertainment from Fizzogs and Vamos Theatre, music and visual from Kic FM and we will be announcing the winners of the children’s NHS of the Future drawing competition.
What a great way to mark the NHS’s 70th birthday! Put the date in your diary and get ready to raise a cuppa to the NHS.
If anyone would like to make or donate cake for the event, or would like more information please contact Lindsey.firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01384 321677.
