Non-Executive Director Opportunities at Dudley CCG

At the Dudley CCG board meeting held last week, Dr David Hegarty, Chair gave thanks to outgoing Non-Executive Directors Steve Wellings and Julie Jasper whose term on the Board ends in March 2019.  

Both Non-Executive Directors were appointed to their roles from the beginning of the CCG in April 2013, Steve holding responsibility for the area of Governance and Julie for Public & Patient Engagement. Prior to that they both supported the set-up of the CCG and previously held governance roles in the Primary Care Trust.

Dr David Hegarty, Chair, Dudley CCG said; “I would like to thank Steve and Julie for their outstanding support and contribution. Their wealth of experience and expertise has enabled us to develop health services for local people across Dudley over the past 5 years, in addition to their excellent chairmanship of CCG committees. The Board and I wish them well for the future.”

Dudley CCG is now seeking to appoint two new Governing Body Lay Members (Non-Executive Directors) to join the organisation to take lead oversight for the following areas:

 

  • Governance (Chair of Audit and Governance Committee)
  • Patient and Public Engagement.

 

The suitable candidates will bring strategic insight and impartiality to our governing body with a commitment to good governance and effective public accountability. They will also support the drive and ambition of the CCG to achieve better results for our population; and to continue to develop leading-edge thinking and progressive ways of working.

The time commitment is approximately 3-5 days per month and remuneration is £13,500 per annum.  Some time commitment may also be required in the evenings.
